New action Figure images and more figure news

A Huge thanks to my friend Rob who sent along a link to some new HQ photos of Beth’s first action figure, a two pack with Maria that is set to be released this month. These gives a better look at Beth’s figure. Thanks again Rob!

In other Action figure news, as I told you a while ago, Beth has a second action figure in the works from the Ruthless aggression series. After browsing around the net, I’ve been able to determine the figure will be released in either September or November of this year, I don’t have a concrete date yet, but it will be out before the end of the year.

Long wait for the Glamazon’s Summer Skin section

As i told you yesterday, WWE announced their summer skin photoshoot will be released staggered over the two months of summer before ending September 1st. So how long is the wait? According to the Summer Skin page, Beth’s will be released Tuesday August 12th 2008. To remind you when Beth’s Summer Skin will be released, i have made a countdown timer to her Summer Skin release date, that you can see in the sidebar to the left.

Mickie James defeated Beth Phoenix and retained the WWE Women’s Championship. Both ladies are pretty in person. First Beth came out and I started a “Shimmer” chant, but obviously nobody knew what I meant. When the match was about to start Mickie bent over a bit and all the guys at ringside behind her started to scream excitedly, so she laughed and went the other side (my side) and did the same thing. Unfortunately for her, the pervert shouts were louder and she laughed again. Back to the wrestling, it was a very solid match which Mickie won with the Mick Kick.

I’m sure you’ve all just got irritated thinking you’d missed a Beth TV appearance, but don’t worry, you didn’t miss much. I bring you screen captures of a video package that aired about Beth’s return and rise to the top of WWE that aired on the Best of 2007 edition of Smackdown in December 2007. Theres nothing groundbreaking in the video, it was just a load of shots of Beth to some music. Since Beth hasn’t been on Raw recently, and there hasn’t been much in the way of updates, I figured i would upload these captures. I’ve had them on my computer since January and forgot about them, lol.

On a sidenote, i was looking around WWE’s fan nation page, and found that the WWE Divas Summer Skin runs all through July to September 1st, so don’t be too irritated if Beth isn’t featured tomorrow.

Women’s Champion Mickie James beat The Glamazon Beth Phoenix
When Tony announced the match for the women’s championship the crowd went nuts, then announced the special guest referee for the match… SANTINO MARELLA to big heat, Santino cut a short promo, he said he would speak English because we can’t understand Italian, and then the heat was so much, i didn’t understand a word. First entered Beth Phoenix to a mixed (but big) reaction, then Mickie to a huge pop (less than Rey and Batista), Santino played some of his antics before the match the girls just played the comedy, then the match started and the crowd died. Great match, but the crowd didn’t care, just some pops for the best of the arsenal of both girls (the double chicken-wings, the super Thesz press), Mickie won with a Tornado DDT, Santino took years to make the three count. Big pop for Mickie’s victory after they didn’t care in her match.

Beth vs. Mickie on Raw?

WWE.com has posted a post match video with Mickie James & Joey Styles. In it, Styles mentions to Mickie that waiting for her on Raw is former WWE Women’s champion The Glamazon Beth Phoenix. Which one could only presume means that Beth will take on Mickie on tonights edition of Raw.

The USA Network website has updated Beth’s Biography page on their website with six brand new photos, including two new digital photos from Beth’s match with Mickie James at WWE Armageddon last December.

Beth Phoenix – Another week out of action for The Glamazon sees her exit this week from the P25.

Beth drops off the Power 25 this week after lack of action on Raw for the second week in a row. Beth dropping off the Power 25 ends a 42 week streak on the list.

Beth doesn’t move in the Supplemental draft

Beth has not moved in the supplemental draft, meaning she will be staying on Raw. The only diva moves were Maria, who moves to Smackdown, and Layla who moves to Raw.
