In the ring with WWE diva Beth Phoenix
Live wrestling and the wrestling you see on television aren’t quite the same thing, WWE RAW diva Beth Phoenix said.

Live wrestling and the wrestling you see on television aren’t quite the same thing, WWE RAW diva Beth Phoenix said.
“It’s a completely different animal,” she promised. “You get the drama, like you see on TV, but it’s very interactive. Anything can happen.”
Phoenix, also known as “The Glamazon,” was in Charleston on Friday to promote World Wrestling Entertainment RAW’s Summer Slam, tonight at the Charleston Civic Center. A legion of WWE wrestlers will battle it out in the ring. Phoenix takes on Mickie James in an effort to regain her championship title.
At 5-foot-7, with undeniably powerful-looking shoulders and arms, it’s hard to imagine the championship isn’t hers for the taking. Of course, that’s all part of the show.
MiamiHerald.Com has just posted an interview that they conducted with Beth Phoenix, in the interview, she discusses how she came up with her “Glamazon” nickname, less experienced divas, and much more.
WWE’s rising Phoenix

TNA features the best women’s wrestling division on television, but WWE does have Beth Phoenix.
”I have so much experience, and I’ve been through the trenches,” she said. “I’m street smart as well as technically smart. I bring to the table something that no other [WWE diva] brings.
“Although my road to the top was a little bit longer and difficult, it’s definitely tremendous. That road makes me appreciate what I have a lot more, and it makes me obviously more dangerous.”
Phoenix, 27, would fit better with TNA’s stellar female roster, but the Glamazon provides credibility, along with Mickie James and Victoria, for WWE’s inexperienced diva division.
”Achievement usually comes to me when I put the other divas back in their place where they should be,” said the former WWE women’s champ. “Stepping in the ring with me, that’s taking a huge risk, and I usually beat some sense into them.
Recently, Finaly was interviews by the Miami Herald, in the interview he mentioned Beth, below is what he had to say.
”We’ve got tremendous girls right now,” Finlay said. “We’ve got Beth Phoenix who in my opinion is the more dominant female of the whole [WWE] girl division. There’s Beth and Victoria. Ashley’s got the guts. I’ve seen her go through a lot of stuff, a lot of injuries, but she picks herself up and keeps going, and that’s what it’s all about. Keep going.”
ODB recently did an interview with The Pain Clinic, in it she mentioned Beth, as you all remember ODB and Beth worked together in OVW for over a year. Below is what ODB had to say.
She loves seeing her friends on WWE TV especially Beth Phoenix. She is tight with her. She talked about Beth’s injuries and how hard her struggle was.
On the Feb.18 edition of RAW, Maria defeated Beth Phoenix to earn the right to be on the cover of the popular men’s magazine. That was a monumental match for the up-and-coming Maria.
“To beat Beth was amazing,” Maria said. “No one else did and no one else has, so it means a lot to me. Beth has wrestled a long time and this is something you don’t learn overnight; I’ve definitely worked hard to get here.”
She also was a featured attraction at last summer’s WWE’s signature event: Wrestlemania XXIV, where she joined forces with Ashley in a Playboy Bunnymania Lumberjack match against Beth Phoenix and Melina. Despite losing, Maria said the experience was “awesome.”
“I can’t describe the feeling of 70,000 people screaming for you,” Maria said. “At the end of the match, I got a kiss from Snoop Dog…just to know that millions of people around the world are watching is so amazing.”
This was just posted in PWInsider, I’m looking to try and find the audio clip from the show, so stay tuned.
Beth Phoenix was on the Kidd Chris radio show in Philadelphia today. They tried to get her to talk about how many people she had slept with, but she wouldn’t go there. She did get to admit she lost her virginity at 18. She seemed “traumatized” going through the experience and seemed more in character than someone who was comfortable and ad libbing.
British Website SkySports.com recently conducted an interview with Beth before her No Mercy match with Candice Michelle to promote the event. In it she discusses everything from being a fan of Owen Hart, her Jaw Injury, and so much more, its a great interview, you can read it below.
Glamazon girl
By Richard Parr
After dominating the Women’s Champion Candice Michelle at Unforgiven but narrowly missing out on the victory, Beth Phoenix has another chance to take the gold at WWE No Mercy, live on Sky Box Office this Sunday at 1am.
A few days before her big title match “The Glamazon” caught up with Sky Sports wrestling expert Richard Parr.
Skysports.com: In such a short time on Raw you have had a massive impact. How pleased are you with your WWE career up until now?
Beth Phoenix: I couldn’t be happier; this is the moment I’ve been looking forward to my whole life. After being away for a year through injury all I could think about was getting back and making an impact. This is a dream come true for me and I am ready and waiting to do everything I can to win that Women’s title.
