Name: WWE No Mercy Date: October 5th, 2008 Match: Beth Phoenix vs. Candice Michelle
In a display of dominance, Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix defeated Candice Michelle with a Glam Slam to retain her gold. Ever since The Glamazon captured the title from Mickie James at SummerSlam, she has dominated both her opponents and the opponents of her boyfriend, Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella.
Tonight, Marella intervened, preventing a potential pinfall. But, he paid for it with a hard-hitting kick from Candice. Although Marella’s help allowed Phoenix to escape the near pinfall, it proved to be a distraction to The Glamazon. But, not for long. As the match continued, The Glamazon mounted an offense that Candice could not stop.

At last night’s tapings in the dark match main event, The Glamazon teamed with fellow WWE Diva Nattie Neidhart to take on The Bella Twins.
This is where the taping apparently ended because now we have what seemed like a dark match main event.
Match #11: WWE Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix and Natalya Neidhart defeated The Bella Twins. Beth and Nattie could be the best female team ever. Beth is very over. This match was basically a squash. Beth and Nattie went in there and ran through the Bellas. We saw hope spots left and right but there was no hope for the twins. Beth worked them over with a Dragon Sleeper and even when they made the hot tag, they kept getting cut off. Beth and Nattie win with a Hart Attack. Awesome bonus match!
Well that does it for this week. I guess this will actually air but, who really knows anymore.
Quick Notes:
- Beth Phoenix, Vladimir Koslov, and FCW star Gabe Tuft were signing autographs. Koslov, despite being an “angry heel” on Smackdown, was a damn nice guy.
(4) Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James for the Women’s Title. This was a back and forth match with The Glamazon hitting her finisher for the pin in seven minutes. Mickie sold the move for a couple of minutes after the match.
(7) Santino Marella (w/Beth Phoenix) vs. Kofi Kingston. Santino gave an entertaining prematch speech on how he and Beth are a team and one is down the other picks them up. He talked about how he was able to pick up The Glamazon on her off night at Summerslam. Good interaction between the two. The match went 12 minutes. While the ref was getting out of Kofi’s way as he was attempting to springboard Santino out of the corner, The Glamazon held onto Santino’s feet causing Kofi to land on his head. This led to Santino’s pin fall victory.

Raw Houseshow Results - New York, NY (MSG) (08/23)
Beth made her Madison Square Garden debut at yesterday’s houseshow, i have two results from the show:
3. Beth Phoenix vs Mickie James
Really good match. Beth won with the double chicken wing-face plant in 8 minutes. I wish they would let them have these kind of matches on tv. Held nothing back.
6. Santino Marella vs Kofi Kingston
Beth Phoenix was out with Santino. Santino cut a hilarious promo. He sang “New York, New York”, changing the words to describe him as Intercontinental Champion. He went on to say that he has developed a new move that will guarantee hom victory, the mazarati clutch. Decent match. Santino signaled for the mazarati clutch, but Kofi stopped him before he could even apply it. Kofi attempted a monkeyflip out of the corner, but Beth held onto Santino’s singlet and Kofi went flying. Santino covered him quick and got the pin in about 10 minutes. Didn’t keep the exact time.

*WWE Women’s champ Beth Phoenix pinned Mickie James with the Dominator. Good back and forth match. James hit a Lou Thesz Press off the apron to the floor during the bout and they had some good near fall sequences. Best thing on the show thus far.
*WWE Intercontinental champ Santino Marella, with Beth Phoenix, defeated Kofi Kingston. Marella sang a song about himself to the tune of “New York, New York” then told the fans that was free. Marella told Phoenix that he didn’t mind her having an off week last week because she “did good too.” Santino was hysterical. He promised to win with a new move, the Mazaradi Clutch. It was Kingston’s MSG debut. He even had pyro for his entrance. They went back and forth with Marella playing cowardly heel early. Kingston got a 2 count after a big elbow. Kingston went to monkeyflip Marella but Beth saved Santino by holding him. Kingston went down and hit the back of his head. Marella rolled him up for the pin. Kingston got a nice round of applause leaving.
Match #5 for the Women’s Championship - Beth Phoenix v. Mickie James - Very good women’s bout, these two work very well together. Mickie once again falls to Beth after her front face slam. Winner and still Champion : Beth Phoenix
Intermission
Match #6 for the Intercontinental Championship - Santino Marella v. Kofi Kingston - Santino cuts a great promo about Glamarella’s big win at SummerSlam and even though partner’s have to have each other’s back, every once in a while, they have a rough day. He then proceeds to comfort Beth and saying its ok she was a little off at Slam, and that he had her back and thats why they won the belts. Beth leaves the ring and Santino yells, “you did good! you did good!” Very good match with your typical high spots. Kofi goes for a monkey flip in the corner, Beth holds Santino’s leg so he doesnt budge, Santino capitalizes for the duke. Winner and still Champ : Santino Marella
Match 2: Beth Phoenix and Katie Lea vs. Mickie James and Kelly Kelly
First we get introduced to our unbiased referee, Santino Marella. This was a good comedy match. Beth and Mickie stole the show with the wrestling. Mickie got the pin on Beth after Santino refused to hit the mat for the 3 count, so Mickie grabbed his hand and pushed it down for the 3. Post match The glamazon was not very happy and ordered Santino to the back so they could talk about it.
2. Mickie James & Kelly Kelly defeated Beth Phoenix & Katie Lea Burchill with Special Referee Santino Marella. Santino cut a promo assuring he’d call the match right down the middle and not allow any of the monkey business to take place. All of the standard heel referee spots in this match, but they’re much more entertaining when done by Santino. Especially the pre-match frisking.
Decent action within the match. Finish came when Mickie hit her spinning DDT on Katie Lea. Santino reluctantly counted to two before James pulled his arm down for the three. After the match, Beth shoved Santino and left the ring. He followed her all the way to back apologizing only to be ignored.
Beth made an appearance at last night’s FCW TV Taping. Below are the results. FCW doesn’t have a TV deal yet, so i doubt that this show will be shown on TV, but it may do.
Match #6: The Bella Twins defeated Roucka and “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix.
The Bella Twins is a gimmick I believe has all kinds of potential. We’ve seen a bunch of twins come and go in the business (The Harris Brothers, the Ballards, etc) but we’ve never seen Twin females make an impact. I think WWE can do all kinds of fun angles with the gimmick. Anyways, the Bella Twins are still sort of green in my opinion and this match showed it. Beth Phoenix might be a big wide-based woman, but to deny she is attractive is ludicrous. Beth was very over as well. So the heels team on the Bellas, hot tag, typical tag formula. One of the Bella Twins (I can’t tell them apart obviously) rolls up Roucka for a pin. After the match, Beth beat the crap out of both of them and lifted them up, stacked both of them on her shoulders, and did a huge samoan drop. Beth is freakishly strong.
Kelly Kelly and Mickey James vs. Katie Lee and Beth Phoenix: Mickey James wins with the tornado ddt on Katie Lea for the win
After the match Santino comes out after the match and talks to Beth and brags about how Beth has feelings for him. Then he says Hacksaw Jim Duggan will retire to the “Maserati Clutch”
Santino Marella w/ Beth Phoenix vs. Hacksaw Jim Duggan: very quick match Duggan misses clothesline and Santino is showing off and then when he turns around Hacksaw hits the 3 point stance for the win. After the match Phoenix carries Santino to the back on her shoulders
