All day today we are celebrating the birth of a Glamazon, of course as you know, its Beth’s birthday today. So I am bringing you the first of many birthday treats for you all to enjoy.

Our first treat for you are screen captures of Beth from her match with Sumie Sakai. Phoenix and Sakai had been tearing up the indy scene in Canada since their first encounter in AWF in June 2002, which was a match many considered Canada’s women’s match of the year in 2002. Every time they stepped into the ring together you knew you would get a great match. This match in January 2004 for CAPW was no exception with both women pulling out all the stops to win. Sumie often tried to outrun Beth with her speed, but Beth would take her down with her size and strength. The match came to its conclusion when Sumie hit Beth with a surprise victory role that Beth couldn’t get out of in time.

This is a fan video so it isn’t there aren’t the same quality screen captures as a WWE match but it’s a great look back at Beth from nearly four years ago.
