OVW WOMEN’S TITLE MATCH: CH. BETH PHOENIX vs. VICTORIA CRAWFORD

Victoria won over fans a few weeks back in a Women’s Battle Royale that saw her hit a perfect springboard elbow on Beth Phoenix. Now was her chance to face Beth one-on-one and Victoria seemed thrilled to be there in front of the fans as she waited for Beth to enter the ring.

Perhaps forgetting or even forgiving Victoria for the springboard elbow from September, Beth offered to let Victoria leave the ring after a couple of tosses to the mat as the match started, but Victoria refused.

A pin attempted by Victoria soon after was all that was needed to send Phoenix into a fury, however, and Beth bulldozed Victoria into a corner for several stiff shots to the face with her elbow.

A whip to the ropes gave Victoria an advantage by allowing her to hit a standing hurricanrana on Phoenix and sending the amazed Beth across the ring! Victoria didn’t stop there, striking Beth with several elbows and then dropping an Axe Kick that nearly took Beth’s head off!

Unfortunately for Victoria, an attempt to recreate the springboard elbow found her getting slammed hard in the back from Phoenix, who evidently DID remember the earlier incident they had together!

As Beth was about to perform the Down in Flames, Serena ran into the ring and speared her!

This led to the ref disqualifying the match and left Phoenix frustrated and screaming at the retreating Serena.
